About
In case you are one of the few who hasn’t heard…after 4 years in Edinburgh and almost 23 years in Aberdeen / Stonehaven, me and my family are leaving the Aberdeen area and moving back to Shetland on the 18th July. I wanted to have a leaving doo and combine the two things that have helped me over the years I’ve lived in Aberdeen and Stonehaven. My two youngest children both have special needs and go to Carronhill Special Needs School in Stonehaven. Them going to Carronhill (which is an excellent special needs school) and me being able to escape to ASRC to play squash have maintained my sanity over the years.
I wanted to have a graded squash competition in the afternoon and drinking in the ASRC bar at night. The intention is to make the entry fee for the competition £20 per person with half of the money going into a prize fund for the competition and half the money going to Carronhill Special Needs School as a parting gift from me (and you). We’ll then do plenty of drinking in the ASRC bar to boost the clubs funds!
